Week 11- Solomon Holzhauer- Michael Jordan is the best

     If you don't know who Michael Jordan is, he was a legend to basketball and was a former player for the Bulls. He also starred with Bugs Bunny in the original movie Space Jam, and is also the person who started the Michael Jordan shoe business. I am going to tell you why this guy, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time.

    Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six National Basketball Association (NBA) championships, these were in (1991-93,1996-98). He was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) five times in (1988,1991,1992,1996,1998) and was also named Defensive Player of The Year in 1988. That's a five-time NBA MVP by the way, when LeBron is only a four-time NBA MVP. This just comes to show how well known and great Michael Jordan was as a basketball player in the NBA during his time. In 1984, Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls. In his first season (1984-85) as a professional, he led the league in scoring and was named Rookie of the Year; after missing most of the following season with a broken foot, he returned to lead the NBA in scoring for seven consecutive seasons, averaging about 33 points per game. He was only the second player (after Wilt Chamberlain) to score 3,000 points in a single season (1986-87).

     Some people may say that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan and that he is even the greatest NBA player of all time. They may say this because first, he has the highest points out of everyone in the NBA for playoff stats. Second, it shows the stats of him having the highest number of assists out of anyone for the playoffs. And third, they show that LeBron had the most counted steals overall for the playoffs, showed again through stats. But, that is only because LeBron actually played in way more games than MJ, therefore, having way more opportunities to pass those stats.

    In Conclusion, through all these stats and facts, Michael Jordan was proven to be the best NBA and basketball player of all time. And last thing I wanted to mention... while both players are known for really good defense on the wing, Jordan finished first in the league in steals three times in his career. James has not yet claimed a steals title.

    Yup! I totally agree! Michael Jordan is and always will be the best basketball player of all time. I honestly will never understand how anyone could believe that someone like Lebron or anyone else in the league right now is better than MJ.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines.
