                                                                    Spring Break

    I go to Donna Klein Jewish Academy, and I'm a Junior in high school. It's a private Jewish high school, and that means we get holiday vacations. A couple of weeks ago, all "regular" schools got Spring Break for a week and a half. During this time, our school went on a field trip to Universal, and as you could guess, it was packed. Nevertheless, it was an awesome experience full of going on the same ride over and over again: Rip-Ride-Rockit. Anyways, we didn't get Spring Break at the "normal" time in the middle of March, but instead, we will be getting it during Passover Break. For the first time, Passover Break and Spring Break will overlap, basically meaning we don't get Spring Break. 

    The reason I think the school is doing this is that in September, we missed so much school, like more than half of the school month. That was due to all of the jam-packed holidays that came during the time of the month. So, the school is probably trying to keep us students on track for our curriculum by making sure we don't miss any extra days due to Jewish holidays, the longest one being Passover (eight days). Therefore, the school made Passover Break and Spring Break into one, and usually, they fall on the same week, but this time, they do not. This time, they are one month apart from each other, so I get the feeling as if we are missing out on one of the big breaks. At least we get one though. 

    No matter what, I am still very much excited for this one-and-a-half-week break. It will be a time for me to finish up on all of the FLVS work I have to catch up on, play more basketball, hang out with friends, work out more, do community service, have more time to work, and create more videos. I like to make and edit videos in my free time for fun, and I just really enjoy the post-editing process. It is important to remember not to waste time during big breaks like these, and to be productive doing something you like or doing some catch-up work. Still, a break is a break, and we all need some relaxing rest sometimes, so use the time for that too. The weather should be great since it is Spring in Florida too, so the only downside to this break would be the fact that I have to fast from bread since it is the Passover holiday. It is just one more week until Spring/Passover Break.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
