Michael Hakim Week 11 - Thinking Ahead to Summer
This summer is one I have been looking forward to all year. Literally, I have never been more excited about a summer in my entire life. All throughout the year, I have been, in a way, planning my life in anticipation of the summer, where I am going to be going to Israel on a group trip.
Ever since I went on my trip last summer, I have been eagerly waiting for this summer to come. Last summer, I met so many amazing people and had so much fun, but after the summer, it felt as though I didn’t do everything I wanted to do. Last summer I feel like I wasn’t as confident in myself - this is a major reason why I started working out, and have tried to improve myself in every way.
This summer, my goal is to ensure that I don’t have the same regrets I did last year. All year I have worked on bettering myself in order to be more confident when approaching new people, and this is a major thing that hindered me last year.
I am so incredibly excited to go to Israel, as I have surprisingly never been there. Israel is a place I have always wanted to go to. Something about it has always just drawn me in, even though I have never been there. I am so excited to go there and to get to experience it with all of the incredible people I will get to meet this summer.
Now that I am approaching the final stretch of the year, it is going to be a bit difficult to find the motivation to continue to push forward, especially in regard to the four AP Exams I have coming up. However, thinking ahead to what could potentially be the greatest summer of my life is definitely enough to get me through.
What are you doing this summer? Are you excited?
