Maya Garaway Week 22: Ranking APs

 AP exams are soon! As tedious as these exams are, they can be somewhat refreshing. It marks the end of the school year in my mind and most classes tend to be lenient with work due to these exams. I have been panic studying all of AP Psych and AP US History recently and preparing for all of my exams. This has got me thinking about which have been the best and worst AP classes so far. So lets make a blog post about it while I procrastinate!

Including my APs from this year, I have taken Human Geography, Comp Sci A, Comp Sci Principles, World History, Art, Lang (obviously), US History, and Psych. As of right now, I believe my favorite AP has been AP Lang and I am not just saying that to be a suck-up. Work-wise, there has been no useless or time-wasting work. Everything had a purpose and a specific skill to teach. On top of that, all of the work was interesting, especially the class debates! Thank you Mrs. Ho! After AP Lang, I am not sure the exact order of which APs, but I do know which would be in last place for me. AP Comp Sci A. Oh my god, I despised that class. I took comp sci A on FLVS and that class killed any interest I had in coding. That class was mostly busywork that was time-consuming. In coding, there are multiple ways to reach the same goal, but for this class, you had to use very specific lines of code to get there. If you are not familiar with coding, imagine you had an assignment to write a story of you getting a cup of water, but if you wrote any part of the story differently you would lose points. On top of that, the information itself was not that valuable for the AP exam. Honestly, I dropped the class halfway through the year, and without all of the course information, I managed to get a 2 on the AP exam. So according to Collegeboard, I am “possibly qualified” for a class I have not completed.

    I've taken many AP's, this year specifically I am taking AP Chem, AP Calc, AP Lang, and APUSH. It has definitely been my busiest and most stressful year. I'm super nervous for the exams. APUSH is super hard and I honestly feel like I know nothing. AP Lang is a lot less stressful because I feel more prepared, but of course I still have to get reviewing. AP Calc is so hard, and I am so scared I won't do well, but I am starting to review everything again, so that's fun. AP Chem is definitely the one I care most about, sorry Mrs. Ho. I feel like I've worked so hard for that all year and I'm really interested in chemistry as a whole, so I want to do well. My favorite has definitely been AP Chem because we have such a good class, and even though a lot of it is really difficult the material is really interesting.

    I have taken AP Psych, AP Lang, APUSH, and AP Art. My favorite class was probably AP Psych because I got a good grade in the class and a good score on the exam. I also like how I am now able to use big psychology words to describe things.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
