Liam Meldung, Week 22 - Can't Wait for Summer

I am so excited, we are this close to summer vacation, and so close to being done with all our AP exams and our hectic Junior year. Of course it’s going to be very sad to have to be done with AP chem and never have Mrs. Leibowitz as a teacher again, and it will be very sad to never have AP Lang again, but everything has to end sometime and we all came out of it smarter and more prepared for future endeavors

Summer is going to be crazy fun, I can’t wait. I know a lot of you might not care what I’m doing this summer, but I don’t care. I’m going on a west coast connection trip to Spain. It’s a college enrichment program where I will be spending three weeks in a university in Barcelona, Spain, studying Spanish and business. That’s not all I’m doing though. I will also be touring Barcelona and enjoying the wonderful city. Seeing art and architecture, as well as having a somewhat real college experience before the actual thing. It’s going to be great.

This summer I’m also going to New York for a little bit, my sister has a basketball camp, while my family and I will be doing a whole bunch of college touring. NYU and Syracuse, here I come. We are also planning on enjoying New York as a fun trip to experience the city and everything that makes New York, New York.

My younger sister’s Bat Mitzvah is this year and so we are also planning on a fun trip to San Diego. My other sister, Mia, is also doing the Maccabiah there as well, but after that we are really doing a fun trip.

I think we’re doing all this because since Covid started we haven’t travelled much, we only went to Kentucky for more basketball, which was not so fun. So we’re now making up for lost time.

What are you doing for your summer vacation?

  2. Those summer vacation plans sound amazing! I'm glad that you are able to make up for all the last vacations over the last couple of years. I've noticed that many people are making their up their vacations as well though, so a lot of vacation spots are unfortunately very crowded right now. Personally, I am working at my camp again, and then going to Los Angeles and San Diego at the end of the summer.
