Ben Nikpour - Week 11: MasterChef
One of my most popular blog topics has been movie and show critiques. As this is our last blog post, I thought I should connect back to my former blogs by writing one more show review.
Recently, I have been watching MasterChef. For anyone who doesn't know, MasterChef is a show where a group of talented home cooks competes in a series of cookoffs till one contestant is crowned the MasterChef. This show reminds me of Survivor, just in a cooking way. The show is entertaining and funny as Chef Gordon Ramsey screams at the contenders. In the past few days, I have watched more than two seasons of the show, which took me a while as each season has around 20 episodes that are one hour long.
I watched seasons 7 and 8, and now I am watching season 9. I built a connection with many of the contestants as I do for most reality competition shows. Unfortunately, in both seasons, the person I was rooting for lost. So far, I have not been enjoying season 9 as much because I have not built any connections to the competitors, but I thought the same when I started season 8.
MasterChef has made me want to become a chef. The people on the show are just so talented and make cooking seem like fun and interesting art. While the show has inspired me to learn to cook, I am not expecting a future in the cooking industry as I can't even boil water.
The show is definitely one to consider watching. It is the perfect show to watch in your spare time or while you are doing something else like homework. I am actually watching the show right now!
Have you watched, or would you consider watching MasterChef?

I have never watched MasterChef, but I've heard from multiple people that it is a good show. I used to love baking when I was younger, but I don't know the first thing about cooking. Perhaps I'll try watching the show and maybe start cooking!
ReplyDeleteI have watched the Israeli version of Masterchef but I have never watched the American version. When I visit Israel, I'm not a big fan of the TV over there so I watch a lot of reality TV shows and cooking shows such as Israeli Survivor, Ninja Israel and of course, MasterChef. For me, it's so entertaining to see people cooking amazing things under extreme pressure and honestly, I wish I could do that too.
ReplyDeleteI actually have never watched MasterChef, which is kind of surprising because I love shows like this. Cooking shows like this have always been so entertaining to me for some reason, but I never got around to watching MasterChef. Maybe one day I'll watch it.
