Noah Bard - Week 6: My Phobia of Snakes

Snakes. They’re just seethingly slippery. The seemingly slimy sensation of snake alliteration is enough to send a chill down my spine. Everyone seems to be afraid of snakes, but to me, snakes are a super scary spine-tingling creature with a spring loaded bite and a lot of strength.

     Snake-themed alliteration out of the way, there has always been something about snakes that has made me want to curl up into a ball and run to the nearest shelter. Thinking about snakes makes me so scared. I know so many people that have gotten bitten by snakes, and I always do everything in my power to ensure that I’m not next on their dinner list.

     I think that the scariest part about snakes, however, is the fact that there are so many in Florida. Sometimes it feels that I can’t run away from them, and then I am essentially signed up to an impending snake themed tragedy. This is what I tell anyone who questions my fear.

     Is my fear of snakes annoying to some? Yes. But is my fear irrational? Absolutely not! I know I may come across as being dramatic here, but this is something that has always scared me. Whether or not you are also afraid of snakes, or afraid of another creature, I feel like everyone can relate to me being scared of an animal. I can’t explain my fear of snakes, nor do I want to. However, what is most important to me is that I avoid them at all costs!

    I honestly find snakes so cool. I have always been interested in them since I was a little kid! Honestly, I am not really scared of any animals.

    I am also terrified of snakes. The minute I see a snake, I get so grossed out and immediately have to look away from it. I hate that there are so many in Florida, but luckily I don’t see snakes on an everyday basis.

    I used to be scared of dogs although I overcame that fear a few years ago. My friend made me overcome that fear because whenever I would come to her house I would run away from her dog. She helped me get over it gradually and now I am a big fan of dogs.

    Personally, I don't really mind snakes. Yeah, they are a little creepy considering they can bite me, but I know that if I stay away from them they will most likely stay away from me, unless I'm not in Boca. What I'm really scared of is spiders. I can't really explain why, but I have always been terrified of spiders. Spiders send a shivering feeling down my spine just like snakes do for you.

    do not like snakes and refuse to ever touch one. I understand their importance in the environment and ecosystems, however, that does not make me fond of snakes.

    I find snakes pretty interesting, but I am also very scared of them. Some can be very harmful, and not knowing which type of snake is harmful or not is also scary.

   When I hear the word gladiator, I Immediately think of the Colosseum and humans being eaten by lions. However, times have changed, and so has the term gladiator.   Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
