Liam Meldung, Week 20 - Biden Says Putin Could Resort to Chemical or Biological Weapons

        The war in Ukraine is becoming a bigger and bigger topic as time moves on. It's been twenty-six days since the start of the war. Russia has been pushing into Ukraine and slowly gaining territory. The biggest surprise to Russia was that Ukraine held their ground and fought back. The Russians thought their annexation of the Ukraine to last a few days maximum, but the Ukrainians defied these expectations and have been holding up and fighting back for twenty-six days! 

        Since this war has lasted so long Biden says that Putin’s “back is against the wall”. It has taken way longer than he expected and now his strength as a leader is being seen differently. He is losing respect from his people and his own pride is being damaged. Biden implies that he believes that there is a chance that Putin will resort to biological or chemical weaponry. He replied to a Russian leader's allegation that the U.S. has a team in Ukraine helping in developing chemical and biological weapons with the fact that it is a “clear sign he’s considering using both” if he has to.

        This war can get out of hand really quickly and many could end up dying as a result. The escalation to the discussions of using this type of technology to fight is dangerous and really scary.

        The situation in the Ukraine is getting worse and the war is too. Do you think that this can escalate into WWIII? Do you think that this technology will be used during the war by either side?

    War is a nasty thing, and I think we can all agree on that. No matter what side you are on, who you believe in, escalating the war in this fashion will most definitely cause unwanted destruction for all. Hopefully this doesn't become WWIII, but it has the potential.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines.
