Solomon Holzahuer- Week 4- What is the hardest sport
I think the hardest sport to play is baseball, hand down. I think this because in this sport there is a small ball getting throw at you at the speed of a car, and you have to swing and hit that ball coming at you. To learn and become good at the sport of baseball you need to practice an insane amount of hours to even catch and throw the ball. Many people, researchers, and reporters have said that hitting the baseball with a bat is the hardest thing to do it a sport, which is also what I think because your reflexes, timing, and eye hand coordination have to be spot on every time you go up and attempt to hit the ball, which is hard to do just with someone tossing it to you. Now imagine someone throwing the ball, in baseball it is called pitching, at you with average speed of over 90 miles per hour for a fast ball which is usually thrown from 60 feet away, do the math, it is very hard to hit the ball in these circumstances. As an athlete who have played and can play many different sports, it has always been hard for me to hit the baseball, when in all these other sports you need good eye hand coordination too. This is around the same speed as a cheetah can get to , just imagine that going at you at full speed and trying to hit it back, and to be good you need to hit it far, now imagine trying to hit a home run with all of these factors.
What sport do you think is the hardest? And if you disagree with me, why?
