Liam Meldung, Week 17 - Euphoria

I bet everyone that started reading this blog thought I would be writing about how much I love the show, the drama, the characters, the plot, and so on. Of course I love the show and everything about it, but that is not the main topic of this blog. The music in Euphoria is top notch, fantastic, spectacular. These adjectives can’t even begin to describe how good the music really is.

Everything about the music in Euphoria suits it so well. It really grasps your attention and takes part in the scene. Without the music the show wouldn’t be as enticing and the scenes that include the melodies wouldn't have as strong of a hold on our attention.

The talented man behind all this fantastic music, Labrinth, has made them specifically for the show. Of course there are others who have had songs pop up in the show here and there, but it has mainly been his music throughout. Some of the music that he wrote for the show doesn’t even have lyrics, but it is still amazing. As I am writing this blog, I am listening to “Forever” by Labrinth. This song is the same melody and sound for three and a half minutes and somehow it never gets old. I love it so much. My new obsession.

If you don’t know me as well as others, when I hear a song I really like I get hooked on it for weeks on end and replay the same thing over and over. It’s a habit that I can’t shake. I love it though.

“Forever” and “Mount Everest” will now be my new obsessions and be played on repeat for a few weeks. Good luck to whoever gets in the car with me.

One more quick song that I thought deserved a shoutout was “Little Star”. I don’t want to give any spoilers, my only request is to go and listen to this song. I don’t even know how to describe how much I love this song. If you know the show and the story, you will see that it is way more than a song; it represents friendship.

Has anyone else seen Euphoria? If you have, what do you think about the music? If you haven't, go listen to the songs I wrote about, and let me know what you think? Do they entice you to want to watch the show?

Comments

  1. Euphoria has a great soundtrack. All the songs used work so well with each scene and fit the vibe perfectly. I can't wait for next season.

  2. I really want to start watching Euphoria but can never find the time to / I'm always in the middle of watching something else when it starts being talked about again. I'll definitely watch it soon though.
