Liam Meldung - Week 15, Busy Busy Busy!
The past few weeks I’ve been extremely busy. Schoolwork, the play, Mock Trial, and of course a little bit of social life. Each class has given me some homework each day. Chemistry, “we’re flying” through the unit. APUSH, were extremely behind. AP Calc, I don’t understand anything. Just in general all my classes have been piling on work daily and It’s just a fun, new load of stress every day. Then, of course, I have to add on more work for myself by taking Mock Trial. There is so much work! To top it all off, I am the stage manager for the musical this year. It’s super exciting and I’m very happy, but it’s a lot of work and we have rehearsals every day for a long time.
I also want to have a social life, talk to my friends, hang out with them, go see movies, and enjoy. With all this work I feel like my life revolves around school which is not what I want. At least my ACT is over for now and I have a couple weeks of light ACT work to focus on.
I think that the whole point of this blog is to try and see if maybe teachers can hear me crying for some help, and try to cut down the work just a little bit so I don’t stress out too much and get too overwhelmed. I love work and I think that it’s very important for kids to have work and some stress, but there is a limit.
In the end I know I’ll be fine. Mock Trial will soon be over, the play as well. I will hopefully be done with my ACT’s and have a lot more free time to enjoy myself.
What about you guys? Do you think that school is very stressful? Do you think it's more stress than the healthy amount that normal people should have?
