Covid Vaccines


One of the most common topics brought up today is the Covid-19 vaccine. The Covid-19 vaccine has shown tremendous prevention of infection through all the variants. Although it is still possible to get Covid with the vaccine, it has made the case more mild than severe. As Covid-19 continues, its properties are changing, creating new variants. The vaccine has to continually update as new varients of Covid are created. For example, the Covid vaccine has prevented the majority of Covid cases, up until the Omicron variant came through. The vaccine has prevented severe Covid-19 cases like hospitalization and death rates from erupting. The vaccine has been extremely helpful to those at high risk and the elderly from getting severely sick when attracting the virus. There are many benefits to the vaccine, although it is not perfect prevention from the virus. 

Everyone reacts differently to the vaccine, and some people may have severe side effects from the vaccine. Therefore, not all people can get the vaccine. There is no way for the virus to suddenly end, so we need to continue to prevent the spread like we are doing now. It is highly encouraged by every health worker to get the vaccine, although it is not a perfect control that will end the virus. After two years of living with this virus, we need to continue to protect those at high risk. Therefore, everyone who has the opportunity to should get the vaccine.

    I think the covid vaccine is good to take because it has a really high rate of making sure you don't get any bad symptoms. This is crucial for people and especially elderly people who have heart, lung, and other health conditions that can make the effects of covid way worse for them.

    I personally got the cover vaccination. I believe that it is the best way to protect myself and my family from Covid. I do also see the side of unvaccinated people because some vaccines can have side effects and this was fairly new and was made super fast, so I get that some people want to be cautious.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
