Ben Reihanian Week 10 - My Opinion on the World's Present Issues

My Opinion on the World's Present Issues

For some reason, I've been thinking a lot about human nature and the problems and conflicts that the world faces today. Climate change, wars, COVID-19, hunger, persecution, racism, sexism, pollution, anti-semitism, poverty, inequality, unemployment, corruption, terrorism, animal extinctions, water scarcity, the decline of human rights, etc. Would there ever be a world where all of these issues are solved? What would that world look like? How would people act, speak, feel? Is that world one that we actually would like to live in or is it purely an ignorant desire?
Thinking of these issues, I came to a pretty broad conclusion that most if not all of them stem from the fact that most people today either care too little or too much.
When we think of cases like racism, antisemitism, terrorism, sexism, homophobia, etc., we have the rather disheveled flower which stems from soil of people that care too much. They care too much about what other people are doing, how and why they're doing it, why they aren't doing things like them, etc.
On the other hand are problems which stem from the fact that people care way too little about really pressing topics. Issues such as malnourishment, poverty, pollution, climate change, and even COVID-19 are deeply umbrella'd by this.

What do you think? Are you someone who cares too much or cares too little?
