Week 7- Solomon Holzhauer-My trip to NYC

I went on a trip last weekend to New York City and I am going to share about it. It started off with a very claustrophobic flight from the Miami International airport to LaGuardia Airport where it then got delayed. This trip was to celebrate my Grandma's 75th birthday as a family. As soon as we got off the festivities were about to start. We were in a rush from our flight, because it was delayed, which landed at 11:30 or something, to a broadway show called, "The Lehman Trilogy ''. This was a very good show, where me and my siblings noticed one of the main characters looked very familiar, turns out he was the dad from the original Charlie and The Chocolate Factory movie. Anyways, we had to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel to drop our bags off, to then make it on time for the show. The drive was an hour and the show started in an hour! We told the driver we were in a rush and trying to make it to a Broadway show but of course he had to let the whole city of cars pass us (what a nice guy!) Luckily, we did all of that and made it on time. After the show we went to a very famous restaurant, called "Barbetta", the food was spot on and very well presented. We went back to our hotels and of course the gym was closed due to past hurricane complications, but they were giving out one free pass for one day to go to planet fitness, at this point it was almost 12am, but you gotta do what you got to do, so I ended up getting a good lift in at 12:04 in the morning.

What did you do last weekend? What was good or bad about it?

  1. My last weekend was not at all as exciting as yours was. I went to see a movie with my friends, it wasn't horrible, the food was great. I did a whole bunch of homework and ACT work, and played a little basketball. That was pretty much my whole weekend. I enjoyed it all, but if it was anything like going to New York I would've enjoyed it 10x more.

  2. Your weekend sounds very adventurous! My weekend wasn't nearly as great as yours. Most of the time I was studying due to the excessive amount of studying and homework I had. On Friday, we celebrated my moms birthday then, on Saturday I spent most of the day studying but then, at night, I went to babysit. On Sunday, I went out for brunch with a friend and later in the day went out for dinner with friends. Overall, my weekend was good but, I would've much preferred to spend it in New York.
