Noah Bard - Week 9: A Break From School

    I need a break. That’s it, it’s as simple as that. I am in great need of a break from all of the intense work that we have been having to deal with recently. I know I am a junior in high school, so it isn’t really a surprise that we have this much work. However, lately, it has just been a bit overwhelming.

     I feel like it is really important to make sure you care for yourself by way of making sure you have an appropriate amount of time off from work. Now, I’m not saying to slack on your work, but it is definitely nice to be able to take a break sometimes. After all, everyone knows that breaks are necessary to perform your best when it matters most.

    Recently our weekends haven’t felt much like weekends. Instead of being able to relax on the weekends, oftentimes I am just doing work the entire time. It really just feels like an extended school week sometimes, which I really don’t like.

    Thanksgiving Break is coming up, and I couldn’t be more excited. I am always excited for this time of year because of Thanksgiving, but this year, I am especially thankful for it, as I feel like I am in need of a break. Thinking about it, it’s been so long since we’ve had our last real break (excluding conferences). Lately, we students have been pushed to our limits with work. From tests to papers, to projects, we have had our fair share of stress lately. I am so excited to finally get some time to unwind at home and get some well-deserved rest.

    I'm also feeling very overwhelmed this year with all the school work. It is so important to make time for yourself to avoid getting burnt out, but it's also often difficult to manage time and find time for yourself.

    I definitely agree with you. School has been overwhelming this year and the course load is incredibly large. I can't wait for Thanksgiving break.

   When I hear the word gladiator, I Immediately think of the Colosseum and humans being eaten by lions. However, times have changed, and so has the term gladiator.   Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
