Maya Garaway Week 8: Paper Flowers!
Did I learn how to make paper flowers because I was procrastinating AP Art homework? Yes! Anyway, here's what I gained from procrastinating so you don't have to! I had a lot of colorful paper and I finally decided to put them to good use. There are many types of flowers you can make with a few simple steps! The main type of flower that I made was a rose.
To make this rose you need two pieces of paper. One for the stem and one for the petals. The easiest part is the stem. First, you take the paper for the stem and cut it into a rectangular shape. Then, starting from the bottom corner, roll it diagonally to the opposite side. Once you finish rolling the whole paper, glue it in place and then you have your stem! The petals are a bit more difficult. First, take a piece of paper and cut about twenty small squares. From there, shape the squares into heart-like pieces. If you would like to add detail, you can also roll the top part of the heart outwards, to give the shape of the petals. Now that you have all the pieces cut out and ready, just take one of the petals and wrap it around the stem. Once it is in a place that you like, glue it down! After that, repeat the process of gluing the petals until you have a rose!
This is a really cute and adorable art project. It's easy to make and is an amazing procrastination project! I am planning to find some more videos to make more types of flowers so let me know what your favorite flower is!

This is so cute and creative! I love it! I used to love trying to make little paper-art projects like this one, but I was never any good at it. Maybe I'll try this sometime!
