Liam Meldung, Week 9 - Time, Where Does It Go?
During the week, the days feel like they go by so fast. There is always something that needs to be done, but there is never enough time to do it. We wake up, get ready, go to school, spend eight hours in school and then it varies from there. Some people go straight home and do their homework, others have extracurriculars and plans with friends. For me it’s a mix of both.
After school I get home as fast as I can, and I try my hardest to get as much homework done as I possibly can. Then some days I have my extracurriculars which takes up a lot of time. Of course I still have stuff I need to get done, so when I finish whatever the extracurricular was, I get straight back to whatever I need to do.
There is no time for anything anymore. For example, I really want to get a job after school or on the weekends, but I don’t know when I will have the time to actually work. With all the homework, ACT prep, extracurriculars, I have no time to get a job, volunteer, or even to just sit for an hour and relax.
Of course, like everybody else, I find my time to just chill, but I think there has been way less time for that lately.
Do any of you feel that way, like there isn’t enough time for everything? Do you feel like you don’t get enough time to do something specific that you really want to do? How do you find time for everything if you do get to do all that you want in one day?
