Liam Meldung, Week 11 - Travel
When considering something to write about for our last blog of this semester I was set on finding something more interesting, not about school, and stress in our lives. Travel was the first thing that popped into my head.
Everyone has travelled somewhere, whether it was to somewhere in Florida, in the United States, or outside of the country. I find it to be super exciting. The thrill of going to a new place, learning a new culture, picking up a few terms in a new language, seeing the history of the place you’re visiting, taking part in fun excursions, and taking a break from our hectic lives back home is just what most are looking for. Personally I love to travel for all these reasons and more. There are so many adventures and new experiences that we can have when travelling. I can tell you, from all the places I’ve travelled to so far, I have enjoyed Costa Rica the most. My family and I rode ATV’s, rode horses, walked across swinging bridges, immersed ourselves into nature, went to some cities along the way and picked up some souvenirs, and of course ate some delicious food.
When I think of travel there are a few downsides. My first one is that I dislike flying, especially for long amounts of time, it’s just so uncomfortable. My second downside is that going from place to place is tiring and really, there is no place like home. My third and final one would be if you get sick, that’s the worst, stuck in the hotel room all day, it sucks. Otherwise I can’t really think of any others.
I have travelled to Israel, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Maine, Turks and Caicos, and many other places. I just love it, and love every place I have ever visited.
What about you guys, where have you travelled? Do you have any other downsides that I didn’t list about travelling? What do you guys love about travelling?
