Leah Week 9 - Traveling

I have always been one to enjoy a getaway of any sort. Whether it's the beaches of Cape Town, or the ice cold of London, I love them all. Life is so intense and stressful for everyone, especially now with the pandemic, so a good vacation can be very important for keeping your mental health in check. 


Traveling is also beneficial to enhance your cultural understanding of different countries. When I’ve graduated high school, I would love to travel all over the world. My dream is to take a tour all around different countries and see the cities of Europe. Some of the countries I would love to see are France, Italy, Greece, and so many more. I think that I would learn so many new and interesting aspects of different cultures from European countries. Sometimes we learn more from new experiences than we learn in a classroom environment. 


When my parents were just married, before they had children, they toured all around the United States. They went to places like San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York city, along with so many others. This is also definitely something I would love to do. I have lived in the United States for two years, but I have barely seen any of it, there’s still so much more to explore. 


As much as I love all kinds of vacations, my favorite is probably a beach vacation. I know, I know, you’re all sick of it from living in Florida, but I still find the beach interesting and fun because I grew up in a city that is inland. There is nothing better than the feeling of sand in between your toes and the salty smell of sea air.

    I like winter vacations because of getting to go snowboarding, and vacations where we have big family holidays that we have school off for. Of course Summer is the best though. It is really hard to choose one place if I could travel anywhere and just have to choose one, so I will just name one of my top pics, which is Hawaii.

    I also love traveling. I actually have a whole list in my notes app on my phone of places I want to go to. The places atop my list are Japan, Norway, Iceland, Dubai, Maldives, Thailand, Italy, France, Greece, Alaska, etc. I could go on for days.

    Honestly, I love any vacation I go on but I particularly enjoy when my family and I go on vacation to places we've never been before rather than places we've been to multiple times (with the exception of Israel). I have a long list of places I want to travel and hope to, one day, travel across the globe. Right now, the top places on my list that I want to travel to are Greece, Australia, and Japan.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
