Noah Bard - Week 5: When Do You Do Your Homework?

 Let’s be honest no one likes homework (except for these blogs), and it’s probably one of the most dreaded things about school. Each subsequent year of school, you get more and more homework every night. It goes from having just math homework to working in every class. Some nights are easier than others, but there’s one thing that never changes, you never want to do it.

Some homework is genuinely pointless, and it feels like busywork, while others are challenging and require a decent amount of effort. I’ve never found that the reason I don’t want to do homework is that it’s hard, but rather because I just don’t want to do it. I’m a procrastinator, and I like to leave everything to the last minute. I don’t think I’ve ever come home and have done my homework straight away. I always want to relax and then do it after dinner. I feel productive and “awake” at night, so I get my homework done quicker. 

I think the time that I and others complete homework is interesting. I think the time of day in which you complete homework is indicative of when you work best. I choose to go to bed later because I stay up later doing homework. Although if you are someone who works better in the morning, would it be beneficial to go to bed early and wake up earlier to do homework before school? I presume most people do their homework after school and probably stay up late because, well, all get tons of homework.



What time of the day do you complete your homework? Would you ever consider getting up before school to do it rather than late at night?

    I also complete my homework late at night. It is typically the last thing I do before I go to sleep. It is a annoying habit I have and I much rather get it done at a different time like right after school. I don't always like doing homework but it is mostly helpful in relearning concepts or finishing ideas. If I am really tired, I will go to bed earlier and just wake up early to do homework right before school.

    I complete my homework when I get home but only after I eat. I also try to get as much done in school as possible but, I usually don't get much done because I don't have much free time. I don't think I would every consider waking up before school to do homework because I know I would stress about it all night.

    I complete my homework at night as well. I tend to procrastinate. While I get less sleep because of it, I usually work better at that time. I do not wake up early to do homework for school, unless I forgot to do it the night before and complete it in the morning.

   When I hear the word gladiator, I Immediately think of the Colosseum and humans being eaten by lions. However, times have changed, and so has the term gladiator.   Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines. Little did I know, there would be many little bumps along the way that I had to deal with while trying to catch my flight.       First, we arrive at the airport at around 10:30 for our 11:45 flight.
