Lindsey Maschler, Week 4: Love on Tour

Ever since 2010, when Harry Styles first went on X-Factor and was placed with 4 other boys he did not know, which formed to be One Direction, I have been a fan. Harry Styles released his first album named after himself, Harry Styles, back on May 12, 2017. While I was not able to go, I still saw it all over my social media and decided I wanted to go to one of his concerts the next time he was touring with an album he hadn’t released at that point.

He finally released his next album, Fine Line, on December 13, 2019, and I was beyond excited. I told my dad that as soon as he released dates for the concert, to get them immediately. We got four tickets to his concert called Love on Tour and I was so happy.  The pandemic made him reschedule his entire tour, and two years later it got rescheduled to October 8, 2021.

I went to a pop-up merch stand that he does the day before all of his shows, in the city where he is performing, with some of my friends at the BB and T center, which was the stadium where he was performing. We got to get Harry Styles merch like hats, tote bags, sweatshirts, shirts, and much more without having to worry about getting it the next day.

I and a couple of my friends who are also big fans of him got to see him, and it was the best concert I have ever been to. The concert was on a Friday, where I lost my voice from screaming with my friends and I finally got it back Monday morning. What concerts have you been to?

  1. I feel relieved for you that you got to go to a concert you’ve been waiting for nearly two years for. I love concerts, and have been to probably 4-5 Jingle Ball concerts. I doubt I’ll be going to a concert for a while though because of the pandemic.
