Liam Meldung, Week 4 - What to Watch?
There are so many different tv shows and movies to watch these days, and it’s so hard to choose! When I sit down with my family, when we decide to watch a movie together, we always end up taking half an hour or longer to find the right movie. It isn’t just that though, I feel like I spend a lot of time trying to find a show to watch on my own as well. It takes up so much time!
When my family and I sit to choose a movie we always have to match everyone’s preferences. My dad wants something less childish, my younger sister can’t watch very violent movies, my mom doesn’t want too science fiction, and my other sister doesn’t help at all to choose. It’s always this big conversation between the whole family, and when we choose one, and start it, they all end up falling asleep anyway. Even though it generally is my family’s fault, the vast selection of movies, tv shows, and tv programs in general doesn’t help either. There is so much to choose from, and because of that we have to take so much longer to find something that works for all of us.
Another problem I face when it comes to the unimaginable amount of content we have access to, is that when I finish a show or movie, I always spend the next day or two scrolling through Netflix or Disney+ trying to find something. There is just so much to see, but for some reason it’s so hard to decide what to watch next.
Does anyone else feel like this sometimes? If you do, how do you find something to watch? Also, can you respond with a recommendation of a show for me to watch next?
I completely relate to this and understand your situation. I always go on Netflix and try to find something to watch and never can decide. I narrow it down by picking what genre we want to watch which like you said is hard to do.
ReplyDeleteAll the time, I find we sometimes spend more time finding a show to watch than actually watching one! It’s hard to find something that everyone loves to watch as well. Also, watch Seinfeld.
ReplyDeleteI can understand where you're coming from. Honestly though, I feel like the huge amounts of movies and shows available mean that you're going to get a better experience. In exchange for your time when searching for the right movie or show, you're getting more entertainment, so it's worth it for me.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel. I feel like there is so much to watch on TV but at the same time there is like nothing. I spend so much time looking for a new show to watch that by the time I find something I'm ready to do something else. I don't really have a way to find something to watch I just scroll through shows seeing what looks interesting. I really like American Horror Story, the show is really good and there are so many seasons it will keep you entertained for a long time.
