Ben Heller Week 4: Harry Styles Concert

 Harry Styles Concert (09/10/21)

    Guys, what is up with Harry Styles? Honestly, I don't get it. He has a nice voice and all, but why do people get so crazy about him? I saw so many people posting about going to his concert last night (10/8/2021) and I was overwhelmed with the amount of people that I knew that were there. I don't get the appeal. He's on apple music, he's on spotify, and I guess, yea the idea of going to see him live is enticing, but these fans really go all out. I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but it's just weird. There are a lot of pop artists who are famous and regularly do concerts where fans go crazy, but this whole Harry Styles fandom is just too much, one could argue. 


    Maybe, on the other hand, I'm the weird one. I've never really gotten super excited for things like this, even with musicians that I listen to, which used to be a lot of muscle theater stuff. Even when going to plays I didn't start getting really giddy, so maybe it's my fault. Writing this, I realize that I'm just writing this because I have to write my blog. Who am I to judge you for liking Harry Styles so much? You can idolize whoever you want! Even if I think it's weird... which I still do by the way. One last thing, if you really love Harry Styles, you'll love DKJA's spring show! Why don't you make sure you buy tickets and write it into your calendar, just so you don't forget. See you there!

    I also am one who doesn't really fan page over Harry Styles. Just like you, I understand how some may be obsessed with him, but I also don't really become obsessed with artists. I want to see the spring show so I can see how you are going to incorporate Harry Styles.

    Personally, I am a big fan of Harry Styles and I went to the concert on October 8. I have been a fan of him since elementary school when I liked One Direction, and I have just followed his career through. He definitely isn't for everyone, but he is talented.

    I completely agree with you! I do not understand the hype on Harry Styles. He is talented as an artist and makes good songs, although I do not become obsessed with artists like this. I enjoy listening to the music and to 1D music, although people have become extremely obsessed over a single artist.

    I don't understand the hype around Harry Styles. I get that people love certain artists but the fandom for Harry is like nothing I have ever seen before. I know way to many people that are obsessed with him and it drives me crazy. I also never really get excited for these types of things so maybe that's it? Not to be mean to anyone who likes him but maybe it is just a phase.

    I also am not a big fan of Harry Styles. I know some of his songs and the majority are good but, I feel as if they are overplayed way too much. A few of my friends went to the Harry Styles concert and I honestly don't get the hype. Personally, I enjoy One Direction songs more but even then, I am not obsessed with their songs either. For me, with any artist, I get sick of songs relatively quickly.

    Being a Harry Styles fan, I understand where you are coming from. Our fandom can be a little crazy sometimes, but I think it is just because we all really enjoy Harry's music. A while ago I was confused too. I had nothing against Harry Styles and I enjoyed his music, but I did not really get the hype. Now that I am apart of the fandom, I think the obsession is more towards the sense of community and happiness that people get out of his music.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines.
