Adi Chaham week 4 - The Famous Cookies

Ya know that feeling when you're really really excited for something and then you try that something and you're just disappointed. Well, that's how I felt when I tried the sugar cookie from Crumbl Cookies.

Crumbl Cookies is a famous cookie place in which they have a total of 6 flavors a week. Two of those flavors stay the same all the time; however, once in a blue moon, they do change them for a while and then change it back to the original flavors. The other four however, change every week.

For an entire week, I was so excited to try one of the cookies. I was just excited to try this amazingly looking, simply yet yummy, rich yet delicate sugar cookie that I heard so much about. This cookie specifically, was one of the ones that stayed the same the majority of the time. All I would see on Tik Tok were Crumbl Cookie reviews and they reviewed this one pretty high. I gotta admit, the other cookies did look better but they were much richer and I was excited for this simple cookie.

When I got to the cookie place, I got four different flavors: the sugar cookie, the chocolate chip, the red velvet and the dirt cake one. And of course the first one I tried was the sugar cookie one.

Super excited, I took a big bite out of the cookie and next thing I did was spit out the cookie. The first thing I said was “this tastes like medicine”. Do you remember when we were kids and when we were sick, sometimes we would take that nasty liquid medicine? Yep. That nasty liquid medicine. That's what the sugar cookie from Crumbl Cookies tastes like. It was disgusting.  No good things could be said about the cookie and I was disappointed. I would give it a 0/10.

Then, I went on to try the chocolate chip cookie. It was very bulky looking but nonetheless, looked very good! When I tried this cookie, my first reaction was “this is gonna give me a stomach ache”. It was a very soft and tasty cookie, but it was like a very chunky dough. I would rate this a 4/10.

Then we tried the red velvet. I gotta admit, this one was pretty good. It wasn’t anything special and I wouldn’t go there again just to get the cookie. It was really just a normal cookie but it was tasty. This one was my favorite and I would rate it a 8/10.

Finally, we tasted the dirt cake cookie. I didn’t like it at all and it just tasted like a normal chocolate cookie. I would give it a 5/10.

Overall, I was super disappointed! Most of these cookies were bad, and even the good one, really wasn’t anything special. Personally, I wouldn't recommend these cookies but, if you're a big cookie person, then go for it!

Have you ever tried crumble cookies? If so, did you enjoy it? Do you think the internet hyped up these cookies too much?

  1. I have the exact same feelings about Crumbl Cookie. My friend bought me one once to try, and when I tasted it I said it tasted good, but it wasn't something super great. I would not drive all the way to Coral Springs to get these cookies, that's for sure. 100% these cookies were hyped up way too much by the internet. All they say about these cookies is that they are amazing and we should all go try them, but when you do, at least in my opinion, they don't leave you drooling for more. I recommend Insomnia cookies if you are a really big cookie person, they are sooooo good!

  2. I’ve never tried Crumbl Cookie, and after this review, I probably won’t be trying the cookies. Sometimes the fancy-looking foods actually taste a lot worse than simple-looking foods.

  3. I completely agree with you! The sugar cookie from this fancy cookie shop does not taste appealing. Since the cookie flavors change weekly, you have to be lucky with which cookies are made that week. Some weeks the flavors are extremely good, although other days they are simple.

  4. I have never tried that Crumbl Cookie place even with all the hype about it, because i've heard from a lot of people that it was over hyped, and that the cookies aren't that good. So, just like Leah, I will not be interested in ever trying those cookies.

  5. I have never been to this place, either, but after your review I don't think I would want to try it. I normally love cookies, and I wouldn't want my love for them to be ruined by bad cookies.

  6. These cookies are all the rage but for what? They're way too sweet and the only time I actually went near there I was disgusted because of all the flies inside and outside of the bakery. The best chocolate chip cookie ever is at the famous sourdough bakery/restaurant in the Bay Area called Boudin. It's perfectly chewy and crispy and salty and sweet. I miss it so much and I have one every time I go to California.
