                                                           LeBron Pursues Acting?

LeBron James has made his way to the movie industry. Because he's known for being one of, if not the, greatest basketball players to ever touch the Earth, he has quite a bit of fame. Because of this popularity, he has had a sequel produced for him of the famous basketball movie Space Jam. The original movie starred legendary former basketball player Michael Jordan. The sequel's full name is Space Jam: A New Legacy. But how is the movie?

The film obviously stars LeBron James as the main character, but other notable stars are featured. One of my personal favorite features lasted for only about six seconds. That's right, only six! This was Michael B. Jordan, and you could probably guess what happened. As LeBron and his team of looney toons enter the locker room at half time, Bugs Bunny says he invited Michael Jordan to play. And funny enough, Jordan does come out! Only, it's Michael B. Jordan, the actor. I found this part hysterical as I literally laughed out loud next to my friend. The movie is filled with these small little jokes, and they continued to crack me up more and more. The movie also contains a great amount of plot. As the story went on, I grasped my chair and hoped for the best as the basketball game kept getting crazier and crazier. Character development was something this movie did not miss out on. LeBron's children turning to the 'dark' side and coming back to light is a great example of this. The movie was one of my favorites. To be honest, I was expecting corny jokes left to right, but instead I got family friendly banter that actually made me chuckle. Overall, I would give Space Jam: A New Legacy an outstanding 8.8 out of 10, and I would recommend it to everyone of all ages, shapes, and sizes! So tell me, will you watch this film? Or have you already? And how do you think it compares/will compare (if you haven't seen it) to the original?

Comments

  1. I haven't watched the film, but I have heard it was decent compared to the original. I think it's cool to see professional athletes pursue another career, but maybe acting just isn't for LeBron.

  2. I did not watch the film because of all the comments on how bad and a joke it was. Just by seeing the preview though, and from seeing the original, I would say the original is 100x better, in my preference. I think, like Noah said, LeBron just cant do it all.

  3. It was an entertaining movie, though not as good as the original. LeBron, though, is a terrible actor!
