Leah Week 2 - The Kissing Booth 3

The Kissing Booth movies have been some of my favorites since I saw the first one in 2019. They are Netflix original movies that are American teen romantic comedies. The third and final movie of this series came out recently on August 11, 2021. I was so excited to watch it and I did as soon as I could find the time to.

The movie takes place in two of the main characters, Elle and Lee’s last summer in California before they leave for college. Elle is dating Lee’s older brother, Noah, who goes to Harvard and Lee will soon be going to UC Berkeley. Elle gets into both colleges, but decides to go to Harvard with Noah. To make it up to her best friend Lee, Elle attempts to complete a summer bucket list with him that they made up when they were kids. At the same time, she is staying in Noah and Lee’s beach house for the summer with the two and Lee’s girlfriend, Rachel. She is kept very busy because she also has to help out with her younger brother and she has a summer job working at a restaurant.

Elle soon starts to feel pressure on all ends to make everyone in her life happy, but she just can’t seem to keep up with everyone’s expectations of her. Things get worse when her dad finds a new girlfriend, Linda, who Elle does not like. Her mother died years before. And then the drama starts when her old crush, Marco, shows up at a party hosted at the beach house. Watch the movie on Netflix to find out how it ends!

Personally, I loved watching this movie. It will have you laughing, crying, and emotional in general. The characters are funny, relatable, and lovable and the story is engaging and interesting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes chick flicks!

  2. I do find The Kissing Booth series fun, but I understand where people are coming from when they say the movies are bad. However, it's still a feel good movie that you watch because it's on the top 10 list.

  3. Sometimes it's okay to watch a movie that some people think is cheesy :-) I'll put it on my list for when I'm in the mood for light and fluffy.

  4. Personally, I enjoyed the first movie very much but, watching the second a third movies,
I felt that the directors and writers took a movie and made it into a movie series when they should've just left it as one movie. I felt that as they came out with the second and third movies, the writers weren't really sure what to write about. Overall, I felt like the writers and directors were pushing it to try to make it a series when in reality, they could've just stopped after the first movie.
