Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse (TV Series 2012– ) - IMDb


A show that I have recently been rewatching is Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse. The show was first released on January 20, 2012, and is currently available on Netflix. Almost a decade after its release, the show's reappearance on Netflix has given it a new life as it is still popular and relevant. 

The show follows Barbie, a fashionable doll who lives in an extravagant dream house in Malibu, through her various adventures with her friends. One of her friends is Ken, her boyfriend, who constantly creates new inventions for her. One of these inventions is Closet, a robot that helps Barbie pick out outfits. Ken's unconditional love for Barbie is shown throughout the show, as is his complicated relationship with the schlond poofa. Other familiar faces in the show are Barbie’s friends, Nikki and Terresa, and her sisters, Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea. The main antagonist of the show is Raquel, who, in her attempts to impress Ken, is always trying to sabotage Barbie. Raquel's twin, Ryan, behaves similarly to his sister, relentlessly trying to win over Barbie and spite his rival Ken. These attempts to break up the couple’s 43-year relationship never work as their love for each other is as extensive as Barbie's closet.

While the show's target audience is kids, it is entertaining for individuals of all ages. Its humorous dialogue and interesting plotlines make it one of the best shows I have ever seen. Barbie Life in the Dream House is an incredible show that everyone at any age should watch and will enjoy.

  Ariella Green Week 7: The Airport      Don’t ya hate going to the airport?       I absolutely can not stand going to the airport. As I’m sure most of you know, I am very organized and like to plan out everything. When things don’t go according to the plan, it stresses me out.       Thursday morning, I assumed I would have an easy experience flying from PBI to JFK on JetBlue airlines.
