Avital Horowitz (week 3) - Bat mitzvahs for the Horowitz's girls
The Horowitz family bat mizvahs are sadly coming to an end this weekend. On Sunday, my little sister, Eden, is having her bat mitzvah. This will be the last bat mitzvah for my sisters and I. After this weekend, the Horowitz family will have hosted four bat mizvahs, each one extravagant and eventful.
Let's break down each Horowitz girl's bat mitzvah so you can get an idea on how it went down.
First is my oldest sister, Sivan's, bat mitzvah. Her bat mitzvah was in 2010. Wow! That was such a long time ago. I was just a little five year old. I may have been young, but I think I have a few memories from that crazy night. I remember watching the montage and sitting with my little sister. It was a beautiful montage and I think that is what started my love for bat mitzvah montages. I also remember my sister's snowball dance for some reason. I didn't join in I don't think because I was only five. Another thing I remember from that night was kiddush. My grandfather, on my mother's side, did kiddush. From what I can recall, it was a pretty enjoyable night.
Second was my sister, Ellior's, bat mitzvah. That was probably the worst night ever! Not because of the party itself. The party was amazing and seemed super fun. Unfortunately though, I had the stomach flu. It absolutely sucked! I woke up the morning of the bat mitzvah with such terrible stomach pains. I was hoping that it would go away as the day went on, but it didn't. The night consisted of me going to the bathroom every ten minutes because I felt like I was going to throw up. There were some short moments of no stomach pain, but those moments did not last very long.
Third was my bat mitzvah. That was such an amazing night. I had the absolute best time. I spent the entire night on the stage jamming out and dancing to the music. My entrance was definitely my favorite part though. The party was at the ranger rover and jaguar car dealership because my aunt was the manager, so she gave us the space for free. It was actually really cool because the walls were glass, so the LEDs looked awesome. Now you're probably wondering, "Avital, what does this have to do with your entrance?" Well, that's where this gets interesting. Since my party was at a car dealership, my aunt said that for my entrance I could be driven in on a jaguar. And that is exactly what I did. My aunt drove me in, honking the horn, on a blue jaguar and it was definitely one of the coolest moments of my entire life.
The Horowitz girl's bat mitzvahs were pretty eventful and entertaining evenings, so let's
see if we can go out with a bang and have the best party yet for my little sister, Eden!
